A Legacy of Reschooling: Hacienda Siesta Alegre’s Commitment
Since 1981, Hacienda Siesta Alegre has been a place where Thoroughbreds are bred, trained, rescued, and rehabilitated with care. Over the years, our expansion into equestrian education has created new opportunities — giving retired racehorses a second career and launching riders into the competitive worlds of racing, dressage, and jumping. Legacy

Our home is the beautiful Hacienda Siesta Alegre, nestled near the lush El Yunque National Rainforest in Río Grande, Puerto Rico. Since 1981, Hacienda Siesta Alegre has been a place where Thoroughbreds are bred, trained, rescued, and rehabilitated with care. Many stakes winners began their journey on our farm. Over the years, our expansion into equestrian education has created new opportunities — giving retired racehorses a second career and launching riders into the competitive worlds of racing, dressage, and jumping. Today, we proudly host the Rainfall Tour Horse Shows, manage Alegre Equine Air Transport, and operate a USDA-approved Equine Import/Export Quarantine facility.
